    • USSF Grassroots
    • USSF E License
  • Started Playing Soccer: Age 2
  • Playing Experience: Apex Soccer Club, Real SoCal, Valley United, Camarillo Eagles, Thousand Oaks HS (Varsity Captain), California Lutheran University.
  • Favorite Playing Moment: My family is a soccer family, and my grandfather “Doc” is a Mexican immigrant to this country who played professionally in Mexico for Atlante in the late 1940s. He founded one of the first soccer clubs in Southwestern Arizona after giving up his pro contract to become a surgeon in the United States. My uncle and my father are career coaches, and my uncle is still a Division 1 coach in Southern California. My favorite thing about playing/the game is the way it brings people, the world, together. I got to witness this firsthand as a kid by being by my dad’s side while he was coaching. When I am playing, my favorite thing is competing, and there’s just nothing sweeter than scoring a goal on the back of a brilliant possession/build-up play.
  • Started Coaching: During college
  • Coaching Experience: Apex Soccer Club, “Go For It with Danny,” FC Montco.
  • Favorite Thing About Coaching: Helping players break through barriers, build confidence, and turn challenges into strengths.
  • Family/Hobbies: Distance runner (7 marathons completed); Lives in Flourtown with his three young daughters.

Opportunities for New Players

We welcome new players throughout the year! If you missed the spring tryout window, there are three primary ways to join or be evaluated:

Winter & Spring Academies

These 8–10 week programs are the best way for prospective players to experience our professional training staff before committing to a team.

  • Winter Academy (Jan–March): $200 fee. Focused on indoor technical mastery.
  • Spring Academy (April–May): $125 fee. Specifically for aspiring travel players planning to join for the upcoming season.

Guest Playing

Many of our teams participate in winter indoor leagues or spring tournaments with flexible roster requirements. This allows a new player to “guest” with a team to see if the culture and skill level are a good fit.

Open Training Sessions

Most travel teams conduct their own training sessions during the spring. Prospective players can often attend a regular team practice for an informal evaluation.
