Philip Bocchino started playing soccer at age 5. He comes from a long line of soccer fanatics and coaches including his father, Ralph, who dedicated over 35 years of volunteer work as Coach, President, and Chairman of Hunter Soccer Club in Glenside, PA. His mother, Regina, was also pivotal in growing the club dedicating countless hours for fundraisers, admin work, and organizing. Phil has 5 siblings, including two brothers, both former players of Hunter Soccer Club and LaSalle College High School.
"The most critical aspect of coaching at any level is growing and maintaining a culture built around trust. If players and coaches trust each other the outcome will be expedited growth and improvement, long-lasting relationships, and a healthy and vibrant team environment."
"I enjoy the challenge of coaching. Our goal is to improve and grow every single day both as a team and as individuals. This can be accomplished by building trust and once that trust is built, providing positive feedback and constructive criticism with the proper delivery and timing as each and every player is unique."
Wendy Donnelly was born and raised in NJ and moved to PA in 2007. She is married with two boys 14 and 12, who both have her passion for soccer.
In my soccer career I’ve demonstrated dedication, drive, and skill. I have been coaching for 10 years now and believe a good coach is a continuous learning journey. My goal for the Hurricanes is to have a positive team environment conducive to success, having fun, and promote sportsmanship in an ongoing learning environment.
Dan Lafferty comes from a long family history of soccer. Dan’s Uncle played at Drexel University and Lighthouse, a popular Philadelphia soccer club. His brothers played at LaSalle University and West Chester University.
Believe organized sports help shape kids in multiple ways including:
- Team oriented
- Learn Competitiveness
- Understand how to be a part of something larger than themselves
- Dealing with adversity
- Kids should play multiple sports
"Hard work is a mindset, not a skill. Everyone can work hard despite talent and achieve much more than wins and losses."
