Rusty Flash Fall to Nether United

Sept. 30, 2018 -- With just two practices in the past 24 days, you could forgive the Flash if they'd forgotten what a soccer ball looked like. Forced from their home field after one of the wettest Septembers on record, they traveled south to face a tough Nether United FC Black team Sunday.

The Flash trailed 1-0 after a back-and-forth first half, with Nether United getting the majority of quality scoring chances. Connor and Brendan both made goal-saving defensive plays to keep the score close. Some lackluster play to open the second half led to a pair of goals by Nether United. The Flash rallied with some offensive pressure late, but ultimately fell 4-0.

The Flash will look to put this game behind them as they head to the Jack Walsh Tournament over Columbus Day Weekend.
