Oct. 20, 2018 -- In a very evenly-matched contest, the Liverpool FC Reds snuck past the Methacton United Flash, 1-0 at Delco Christian Elementary School. The game was scoreless at halftime, and Liverpool tallied with four minutes left in the game to steal the win from the jaws of a tie.

The Flash controlled play in the first half but weren't able to get on the scoreboard. Their best chance came when Kenny hit a penalty kick off the crossbar, and Avinash put in the rebound. However, the Flash were ruled offsides on the play. In the second half, it was the Flash who benefited from an offsides call, which negated a would-be Liverpool goal. Charlie and Aidan played well in goal for the Flash, with each netminder making multiple saves.

The Flash will look to rebound next weekend in games Saturday and Sunday at Heebner Park, where they are undefeated.
